The Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre

The Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre is a registered charitable organization that runs completely on public donations and receives no government funding. Since its construction within the Stony Swamp Conservation Area in 1992, the Centre has become an important place for Ottawa's nature enthusiasts and animal lovers alike.

The Centre takes in over 3000 birds annually and all of the birds are brought to us by the caring public who find them. We are open 365 days a year and we able to achieve this feat thanks to our wonderful volunteers, our tremendous supporters and our hardworking staff.

Bird Admissions: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM  365 days/year

The Centre is committed to educating the public about wild birds and the issues that face them with displays, information, tours, presentations and classroom events. The Grace and Gordon Casselman Resource Centre is open daily from 12:00 to 3:00 pm (excluding Wednesdays) and many of the birds in care can be viewed through the observation windows, making the Wild Bird Care Centre a must-see during an afternoon on the surrounding NCC trails! Admission is free! However, donations are greatly appreciated and items from our wish list are more than welcome.
